iPad 2s

The 3 new iPad 2s came in and the students opened the boxes!  I am waiting for our district tech team to set them up on our system and then we will be using them in class.  We are very fortunate to have benefited from such generous donations.

Mac Lab

We used the Mac Lab and students learned a few navigation tips for getting around a Mac.  We also Googled Merrimack Valley School District to find our class website and then had some time to play a few math games.  Students were very quick to pick up on using them and I am impressed with how respectful and responsible they were with them.  Hopefully in a few weeks students will be able to start blogging.  Ask them what their pseudo name is.  Accounts are all set up and I will get passwords and usernames, etc out soon.  We will also have usernames and passwords for extramath.com, and EveryDaymath.com.  more information to come:)

iTouches

We are also fortunate to have 5 iTouches in the class, as well.  These will be used to assist group projects, access the web, blogging, and practicing math skills.  Today a couple students were able to use them when work was finished to play some math games.

    Handheld Video Recorders

I forgot to mention the 8 handheld digital video recorders that we have also. Four of them also take still pics. These cameras are great for capturing learning. Students have used them to take pictures to include n posters and video tape themselves for presentations.
